Terms of use
Short version: everything here is free, nothing is medical treatment, and donations are voluntary and refundable on request.
What this service is
AnxietyTools is a free educational website with short self-help exercises for moments of anxiety — paced breathing, grounding and gentle physical release. There is no account, no subscription and no paid tier. You may use the exercises for yourself as often as you like.
What this service is not
This is not medical care, therapy, diagnosis or treatment, and it does not replace a doctor or a licensed therapist. The techniques are widely used, low-risk and drawn from published research, but no website can know your situation. If anxiety limits your daily life, please speak to a professional. If you are in immediate danger, call your local emergency number.
Using the exercises safely
The breathing practices involve slowing your breath, not straining it. Stop if you feel dizzy or unwell and return to normal breathing. If you are pregnant, have a heart or respiratory condition, low blood pressure, or any condition affected by breath-holding, ask your doctor before using paced-breathing techniques.
Donations
Donations are entirely voluntary. They buy no product, feature or service — the site is identical whether you donate or not. Their only purpose is to keep it free and free of advertising. Payments are processed by WayForPay; card details are entered on their secure page and are never seen or stored by this site. See the refund policy for how to get a donation back.
Content and changes
The texts and exercises on this site may be used for your own personal practice. Republishing them commercially is not permitted. The site changes as content is added or corrected; these terms may change with it, and the current version always lives at this address.
